PUD working to fix the tree problem.
The day after--when the tree had been cut out of the way.We were able to hear BMW play in her Christmas concert in a whirlwind trip up there (she did great solos on tenor sax and on her new wooden clarinet!)~and we returned through the beginnings of our first winter storm! Ah, YES! It wouldn't be our anniversary weekend without a good storm! Alas, after being home only about an hour, we lost electricity! Being the adventuresome folk we are, we found the source--just down the road, a spruce tree had fallen over into the power lines! We started up the generator and kept warm for the 4 hours or so it was out.

...How's Tierra Del Mar? We have several inches of snow and lots of ice. I'm going to bundle up and take the bus to work today!
